WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Fabrics Care :

Silk :

Products made from this fabric should only be dry cleaned by professionals. It can also be used for car washes. Don’t wash by hand or in a rigorous machine. With this product, avoid using any soaps or detergents. Silk is prone to fading and discoloration much like any other fibre.

Silk sarees should be stored by wrapping them with muslin cloth to maintain their lustre. Periodically refold these sarees to prevent fading on the creases. To prevent discoloration, store in cold, dry environments. For silk, steam ironing is recommended. With use and proper maintenance of the clothing, a natural fading process may take place over time.

COTTON:

This fabric’s byproducts are easily laundered. Because cotton fibres are stronger than those of other fabrics, clothing made of cotton does not wear out quickly. Starch treatment is necessary to keep cotton cloth wrinkle-free and to preserve its colour and sheen. Keep the clothing out of the direct sunlight. Keep them folded instead of hanging.

For clothing made of cotton fabric, dry cleaning would be sufficient; petrol wash is not required. You can use a steam iron or a regular iron to iron cotton.

CHIFFON/GEORGETTE/CREPE :

This fabric should not be machine cleaned at all for clothing made with it. If necessary, give it a mild hand wash; otherwise, dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth should not be twisted or wrung dry. The clothes lose shape if they are hung for an extended period of time.

Periodically refold the clothing to prevent tearing at the wrinkles. Iron them gently at a moderate temperature. Iron quickly, and don’t let it sit still for too long.

STAIN REMOVAL TECHNIQUES:

  1. The best course of action for getting rid of stains from clothing is to get professional assistance. But you can apply the following advice. Protein stains such as blood, sweat, deodorant, etc. can be removed by dabbing the damaged area with cloth soaked in detergent. Next, give it a quick rinse with cold water.
  2. Acetone can be used to erase stains caused by nail polish by massaging the affected area.
  3. You can cure grease and mixture stains, like those from gravy, drinks, oil, butter, and oil-based cosmetics, by applying talcum powder on the stain and then brushing it off. You can use any type of dry cleaning solution and rinse it with chilly water first, then lukewarm water.

NOTE: The advice above is merely a guideline. We don’t offer guarantees on zari, colour, or fabric.
